AV10K

Keeping You Naturally Healthy
AV10K ® is a bioactive high potency organic food supplement. Its 200: 1 formulation provides a balanced control nutritional resource for our bodies. A 200:1 concentration requires 200g of liquid Aloe Vera to produce 1g of the powder. One capsule of AV10K contains 50mg of Aloe Vera 200:1 which is equivalent to taking 10,000mg of pure Aloe Vera juice. So a pot of 60 capsules gives you 600,000mg of pure Aloe Vera; more than you will ever find in a litre of anybody else's Aloe Vera juice or capsules. This food supplement was formulated by Chris Mascarenhas; Clinical Director of Highway Health Practice and it offers people an effective food supplement that has a great many health benefits.
AV10K constituents:
- Vitamins and Minerals - Vitamin A, C, E, Choline, B12, Folic Acid; Calcium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Sodium and Zinc.
- Enzymes - Aliiase, Alkaline Phosphatase, Amylase, Carboxypeptidase, Catalase, Cellulase, Lipase and Peroxidase help breakdown of food sugars and lipids i.e. aiding digestion and enhancing nutrient absorption.
- Amino acids - Twenty-two amino acids are found within Aloe Vera.
- Lignin - This cellulose based substance is the trans-membrane carrier.
- Anthraquinones - Aloe emodin (in AV10K aloin is removed), Aloetic Acid, Anthracine, Antranol, Barbaloin, Chrysophanic Acid, Emodin, Ethereal Oil, Ester of Cinnamonic Acid, Isobarbaloin and Resistannol. In natural quantities and in combination with one another they provide analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activity.
- Plant sterols - These four main plant sterols Cholesterol, Campesterol, Lupeol and ß Sitosterolhese are potent anti-inflammatory agents; Lupeol also possesses antiseptic and analgesic properties.
- Salicylic Acid - Aspirin-like pain relief compound.
- Gibberellin - Gibberellic acids are phytohormones, growth factors that assist in healing.
- Mucopolysaccharides - Including B1-3 and B1-4 Glucomannans known for their immune modulating effects and inter-intra cellular communication
AV10K benefits :
- Wound healing - Numerous studies have shown improved wound healing in both diabetic as well as non-diabetic individuals using Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera stimulates epidermal growth factor (responsible for enhancing skin growth), and enhances fibroblast function (cells responsible for collagen formation). This results in the "healing and sealing" of wounds and makes topical aloe Vera an important product for assistance in the healing of minor burns, cuts, scrapes and even skin ulcers.
- Immune modulation - Research has indicated that aloe Vera has the ability to stimulate macrophages. Macrophages help the immune system to "see" dangerous micro-organisms and tumour cells and assist in their destruction. The long chain mucopolysaccharides (B1-3 and B1-4 Glucomannans) have direct immune enhancing and immune-modulating properties. These properties include increasing immune cell production. AV10K provides excellent nutritional support for an optimum functioning immune system.
- Enhanced Gastrointestinal functions - Dr. Jeffrey Bland PhD studied the effects of Aloe Vera on the gastrointestinal tract. He found improved bowel regularity, increased protein absorption, a decrease of unfriendly bacteria and yeast as well as increased water content of the stools. In this study the use of Aloe Vera also resulted in an overall improvement in an individual's energy and sense of well being in addition to enhanced bowel functioning.
- Anti-inflammatory - Aloe Vera has shown biological anti-inflammatory properties over a wide range of animal experiments. The sterols in Aloe Vera inhibit acute inflammation, similar to cortisone, without any of the side effects. It is believed that Aloe Vera works in a manner similar to aspirin in blocking prostaglandin effects but this remains to be proven.
- Analgesia - A number of the smaller chain polysaccharides found within Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory activity, as do the plant sterols. Numerous pain conditions, such as arthritis, involve inflammation. Aloe Vera may reduce joint and muscle pain due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
- Blood Sugar Balancing - Lowering of the blood sugar has been observed in individuals ingesting Aloe Vera on a regular basis. One single-blind study in Thailand reported that combining 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera juice twice daily with glyburide (a class of diabetes medicines called sulfonylureas) significantly improved blood sugar and lipid levels in people with diabetes as compared with placebo. Previously, glyburide by itself had not effectively controlled the diabetes in the people in this study. Aloe Vera has numerous beneficial effects in diabetic individuals.
- At Highway Health Practice AV10K is used in conjunction with specially selected targeted antioxidants and nutrition supplements to enhance the absorption of nutrients across the gut membrane. The mechanism behind this is that, taken ten minutes prior to a meal, AV10K's inflammatory action reduces inflammation of the intestinal villi thereby increasing nutrient uptake. Together with the other nutrients that optimise the transmembrane carrying (Zinc), it is a double action helping all those with compromised gastrointestinal absorption rates. Aloe Vera is a natural antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory.
- AV10K is also used together with antifungals and Heavy Metal specific chelation protocols as an effective detox. It is routinely prescribed to patients of all ages with Autism, ADD, gastrointestinal disorders like IBS, IBD, hyperacidity, gastropeptic ulcers, eczema and food sensitivities. It acts as an immune modulator for autoimmune disorders like CFIDS, ME, Lupus Erythematosis, Psoriatic arthritis and the bladder inflammatory conditions - cystitis and (interstitial) cystitis.
AV10K represents the optimal bioactive intake dosage for daily consumption.
Given its anti-inflammatory and natural antibiotic effect it normalises the thixotropic nature of lymph by alleviating lymphoedema conditions and maintaining the body’s natural hydrostatic balance, enabling its effective use against cancers.
Patients and practitioners should be confident with AV10K being prescribed in all clinical situations where inflammatory conditions are an issue. This applies as much to gastrointestinal disorders as to inflammation that accompanies say Ischaemic heart disease. The anti-inflammatory, immune modulatory action comes however without the known, well-documented side effects of standard allopathic anti-inflammatory medication.
